Target Media Partners is a leading print and online publisher of local classified
and used vehicle photo advertising, information and employment advertising for truck
drivers, and wholesale merchandise advertising. Through our integrated print and
online capabilities, Target Media offers buyers and sellers comprehensive, targeted,
and proven ways to conduct business-to-consumer, consumer-to-consumer and business-to-business
transactions. Our 73 advertising publications are leaders in their local and niche
markets with attractive growth opportunities, and we are actively seeking advertising
products to add to our portfolio. Since 1998, through internal growth, website development,
and a systematic acquisition program, we have increased our publishing profits at
a compound annual rate in excess of 20%.
Classified and Photo Ad Publications
Our 60 classified ad and used vehicle photo ad papers have well-established brand
names and hold dominant or leading market shares in 35 local markets. Our 33 co-branded
websites complement these local print products. Our classified and photo ad papers
and websites contain more than 250,000 unique monthly advertisements for every conceivable
type of merchandise, from used cars and motorcycles to electronics, furniture, pets,
and farm equipment, with more than 82,000 new private party ads each month. Vehicle
advertising is our biggest category, with advertisements for over 180,000 used and
new automobiles and other vehicles featured in our publications and websites every
month.
The local nature of our sales and distribution is what makes our classified and
photo ad products so effective for our advertisers. Commercial and private advertisers
are assured of consultative sales and service every week from our highly trained
local sales forces on the street and on the telephone. The concentrated local emphasis
of our print and online distribution provides local advertisers with targeted audiences
with whom they can communicate directly, thereby maximizing the efficiency of their
advertising spending. Our papers and websites reach more than 5,000,000 readers
every month online and through our distribution to racks in approximately 30,000
retail locations in 25 states, including convenience stores and super markets, as
well as outdoor news racks.
Trucking Industry Publications
Target Media publishes nine monthly, all color, glossy magazines addressing the
truck driver recruiting market, as well as The Trucker, a twice monthly national
newspaper widely read by truckers, and an annual Interstate Directory. In
addition, we operate four trucking-related websites, including www.thetrucker.com, our online newspaper, and state-of-the-art
www.truckjobseekers.com,
an interactive truck-job matching service which facilitates online job applications
by truckers and screening of applicants by trucking companies.
Target Media's in-house distribution arm and exclusive contracts with the nation's
largest truck stop chains solidify our position as the market leader in this targeted
advertising niche, with free distribution through racks in more than 3,000 truck
stops and rest stops nationwide. Our trucking publications and websites reach over
1,000,000 readers each month in print and online.
Closeout Merchandise Publications
Target Media's Closeout News and Wholesale Merchandise are leading
business-to-business publications advertising wholesale merchandise which are distributed
monthly to a nationwide subscription base, by controlled circulation mailings to
small merchants and wholesalers, and at swap meets. Our www.thecloseoutnews.com website facilitates trade for wholesale
merchandisers. Approximately 90,000 readers view our wholesale merchandise advertising
in print and online each month.
